something new! So, come on over and give it a read.
When it comes to online sessions with mentors, there is no set
format or structure. Each session is unique and tailored to the specific
circumstances at hand.
That being said, there are some basic guidelines to keep in mind during your
session.
The mentor will typically drive the direction of the call, drawing out critical
points in your decision-making process and helping you gain a better
understanding of your situation.
It's important to share information relevant to the context of the problem
you're trying to solve. This will allow the mentor to provide actionable
insights based on their experience.
If you have technical questions about tools or software, the mentor will be
happy to answer them. Sharing your screen during the session can help the
mentor gain a better understanding of your workflow and provide more targeted
advice.
Remember, the goal of these sessions is to provide you with actionable advice
and guidance based on the mentor's experience and expertise. By coming prepared
with specific questions and concerns, and actively engaging in the
conversation, you'll be able to get the most out of your time with your mentor.
Consider
your needs and decide on the session duration that would work best for you. We
offer blocks of 30 minutes and 60 minutes with fixed pricing.
30-Minute Session: Perfect for quick questions or a brief chat about tools or
best practices. A quick and efficient conversation is key to making the most of
your time.
60-Minute
Session: This session length gives you enough time to go over multiple topics
and have a more in-depth conversation. Make sure to have an outline of what you
want to discuss prepared.
Certainly!
Upon registering and creating your basic profile, you will be categorized as a
mentee. As a mentee, you can book sessions with mentors on the platform. If you
wish to switch to the mentor role, simply logout from your mentee profile and
login with your mentor account.
To sum up:
All mentors can also be mentees automatically. However, not all mentees can be
mentors since there is a selective application process for the latter.
Feeling a
bit apprehensive when starting a new mentorship relationship is normal. Keep in
mind that mentors are here to guide and support you. Start with shorter
sessions with mentors that align with your goals and interests. Experiment with
different mentors and go with the one you feel most at ease with.
If you tend
to be shy, try starting your sessions without using the webcam. This can help
alleviate some of the pressure and make you feel more comfortable. Remember,
the more sessions you do, the more comfortable you'll become with the process.
We believe
that charging by the minute can lead to uncertainty and worry, such as:
"Will
I run out of time?" "What will my final bill look like?" To
avoid these concerns, we offer the option to purchase set blocks of time (30 or
60 minutes) with fixed prices.
When a mentee schedules a session
with a mentor and the mentor accepts, both parties must attend the session at
the agreed-upon time and for the agreed-upon duration.
If one party is unable to attend
the session, they must notify the other party as soon as possible and work
together to reschedule.
If the cancellation occurs after 8
hours of the scheduled start time, changes can be made through the platform.
However, if it is less than 8 hours before the session, the two parties should
communicate and try to agree.
If an agreement cannot be reached,
our team at info@expertbells.com is available to help with dispute resolution.
If a mentee
is unable to attend a scheduled session that is set to start within 8 hours,
the mentor may consider the session complete at their discretion. The mentor
may also choose to reschedule the session and work out a new arrangement with
the mentee.
You have the freedom to set your
rate for mentorship sessions, but it’s important to consider a few factors when
deciding on your price.
Think about the value of your time
and the budget of potential mentees. Researching the rates of other mentors can
also provide insight.
Remember that the value of your
sessions to a mentee is also a factor.
To find the right balance, feel
free to experiment with different rates and availability. You can adjust your
rates and session availability based on your schedule and the demand for your
services.
