As a mentor on our platform, you can enjoy various benefits, such as:

Flexibility: You have the freedom to set your own schedule and availability according to your preferences.

Pricing: You can set your price for each session and earn money on your terms.

Personal branding: You can meet and connect with new startups, which can help you increase your personal brand and exposure in the industry.

Sharing expertise: You can share your knowledge and expertise with new startups, helping them solve their problems and succeed in their businesses.

As a mentor, you can earn money by providing sessions to startups seeking guidance in your area of expertise.

Here's how it works:

Startups will browse through our list of mentors and select a mentor based on their expertise.

The startup will book a session at a time that works for both parties.

The payment will be processed through our platform prior to the session and held until the session is completed.

After the session is completed, the mentor will receive payment through their connected Stripe account at the end of every month for all the sessions they took.

Upon logging in with your mentor profile, you will have access to a personalized dashboard. Within the dashboard, you will find an accounts section where you can edit your personal details. Additionally, you will have access to a section for managing your calls, as well as a slot managing section to work with your schedule. These are just a few of the features available to you in the expert panel.

Do mentors need to prepare anything? Usually, the answer is no but it’s upon you. You’ll be shared a questionnaire from a mentee which will state their problems and what they’re seeking from you. You can go through that and can prepare accordingly.

Once a mentee books a session with you, you will receive a notification for the session. In addition, you will receive a form from the mentee that provides insight into the issues they are facing and what they expect from you. Please prepare yourself accordingly before the scheduled date, and the session will take place through our platform. As a mentor, it is your responsibility to address the mentee's issues and ensure that they do not feel their money has been wasted. After the call ends, the mentee will provide a review and share their insights on the session.

We require our mentors to utilize a webcam and microphone during the mentoring session. While we also recommend that the mentee use a webcam to enhance transparency and clarity, we understand that there may be situations where this is not feasible. As a mentor, it is mandatory for you to complete the necessary setup for the session, which includes having a webcam and microphone and a stable internet connection

As a mentor, your primary role is to steer the discussion toward achieving productive outcomes.

You are in charge of the session and must ensure that you continue to provide value throughout the call.

Listen attentively to the mentee’s story and identify critical points in their decision-making process where you can offer guidance.

Show empathy – try to understand the mentee’s perspective and imagine what you would do in their situation. They are relying on your expertise and insight, so apply it to their unique circumstances.

Help the mentee to see perspectives that they may not have considered.

While the call doesn't necessarily have to be technical, it may be useful to share insights on how to set up a workflow or leverage the features of specific tools.

When appropriate, conclude the session with action points that the mentee can apply in practice. This will increase the value that they receive from the session with you and advance your relationship with the mentee.

You are also responsible for ensuring that the call is respectful and productive and that you embody the values of the platform. This is a shared space for people from all walks of life – let's work together to ensure that we help each other in an inclusive, tolerant, and forward-thinking environment
